Guardians of the Flock: Llama Drama!

behind the scenes

Meet Sara and Zoey, our two new additions to our home farm!

Two llamas in a field

Why llamas? Llamas are excellent guard animals. They are herd animals here and guardians of the flock, at our farm they will be a vital addition to protecting the sheep.

Weird and Random Llama knowledge:

  • They spit.
  • They have potty time OCD (they prefer to poo in the same spot).
  • Berserk llama syndrome is a real thing.
  • They can get to be 400 lbs!

In addition to llamas, Moink farmers also use Donkeys and Pyrenees dogs to help us protect our more fragile animals on the farm out in the open pastures.
